Public Meeting on PIH Health Hospital – Downey’s Request For Modification of Condition VII
The California Attorney General will conduct a public meeting on Tuesday, November 15, 2016, beginning at 9:00 a.m., in Conference Room B at PIH Health Hospital - Downey (formerly known as Downey Regional Medical Center), located at 11500 Brookshire Avenue, Downey, CA 90241. The purpose of the public meeting is to receive comments on PIH Health Hospital – Downey’s request to modify Condition VII of the Attorney General's Decision. The request seeks a reduction of PIH Health Hospital – Downey’s obligation to provide a certain level of charity care under Condition VII based upon the impact of the implementation of the 2010 Federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. A copy of the Attorney General’s Decision dated April 15, 2013 and PIH Health Hospital - Downey’s request for modification dated August 10, 2016 is posted on the Attorney General’s website at http://www.oag.ca.gov/charities/nonprofithosp. Prior to the public meeting, a copy of the Attorney General’s health care expert’s report on the request for modification will be posted on the Attorney General’s web site at http://www.oag.ca.gov/charities/nonprofithosp. A copy of all three documents is also available for public inspection at PIH Health Hospital – Downey’s Administration Department, located at 11500 Brookshire Avenue, Downey, CA 90241.
