What to Expect

After your physician schedules you for surgery, you’ll get more detailed information about how to prepare. Once your surgery is scheduled, you’ll receive a phone call from your surgeon’s office with more information.

When you arrive for surgery, our RN greets you, introduces you to the nursing staff and helps you with the admission process.

Once your admission is complete, you’ll meet the operating room nurse who will stay with you throughout your operation. Your surgical RN is your advocate—the person who provides information, communication and support to help you feel as comfortable as possible from admission through recovery.
