Want to raise funds to benefit PIH Health? Become a PIH Health Champion.
A PIH Health Champion is a community group, club, business or individual that organizes a fundraising activity or event to benefit PIH Health. These fundraising activities and events align with the mission of PIH Health and can include parties, run- or walk-a-thons, bake sales or other similar activities.
Here are just a few examples of recent fundraising activities and events organized by PIH Health Champions.
Hair Raising Luncheon
The Hair Raising luncheon raised funds to benefit the Wig Bank at PIH Health. The event was created, organized, and underwritten by a committee of PIH Health supporters who believe strongly in the mission of the Wig Bank. Guests in attendance raised more than $9,000 that will be used to purchase much-needed wigs to distribute to cancer patients.
For over ten years, the East Whittier Middle School Instrumental Music Program has raised and donated proceeds from selling tickets to their annual spring benefit concert at the Rose Hills SkyRose Chapel. Students have raised more than $20,000 to benefit the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Pediatric Care at PIH Health Hospital - Whittier.
The Samurai Baseball Club of Fullerton organized a homerun-a-thon to support Breast Health at PIH Health. Players recruited pledging participants who supported every run scored by the club for an entire month, raising over $4,500.
Students at Whittier Christian High School organized a coin drive, raising over $4,300. These funds went a long way toward providing childhood vaccines in the community through PIH Health mobile health services.
PIH Health was founded thanks to the generosity of our community. PIH Health Foundation is the sole entity that raises funds to benefit PIH Health. Funds are raised to help support the many vital healthcare programs and services offered to the communities we serve.
