School Immunizations

School kids and vaccinationsThe school year is starting soon for many kids in our area. Ensure that your child is up to date with their immunizations.

“Having the required immunizations protects the individual student as well as his or her classmates,” says Anita Sinha MD.
Students entering a public or private school ages 4-6, must have the following immunizations:

  • Diphtheria, Tetanus and Pertussis (DTP, DTaP or DT)
  • Polio (OPV or IPV)
  • Hepatitis B
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR)
  • Varicella (Chickenpox)

Students entering a public or private school ages 7-17, must have the following immunizations:

  • Diphtheria, Tetanus and Pertussis (DTP, DTaP or DT)
  • Polio (OPV or IPV)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR)
  • Varicella (Chickenpox)
  • Tetanus, Diptheria and Pertussis (Tdap)
