CALNOC Recognizes PIH Health with Annual Performance Excellence Awards
PIH Health has been recognized by the Collaborative Alliance for Nursing Outcomes (CALNOC)—the leading provider of Business Intelligence, and Research on nurse sensitive quality indicators—with 2018 CALNOC Annual Performance Excellence Awards. CALNOC acknowledged both hospital campuses, PIH Health Whittier Hospital and PIH Health Downey Hospital, for their exemplary work in reducing hospital acquired conditions in 2017.
PIH Health Whittier Hospital was recognized for Best Performance in Preventing Hospital Acquired Infections, based on observed infection rate data, and PIH Health Downey Hospital for Best Performance in Preventing Injury Falls, based on the percent of reported falls resulting in moderate injury or greater in adult acute care.

The awards will be presented at the CALNOC Annual Conference in October 2018 at the Westin Hotel in San Diego.
