Los Angeles Business Journal – President, Chief Executive PIH Health. James West, PIH Health’s president and chief executive since 2004, grew the Whittier-based nonprofit regional healthcare network to serve nearly 3 million residents across Los Angeles and Orange counties. The network is anchored by Good Samaritan in downtown Los Angeles, hospitals in Downey and Whittier, and dozens of outpatient centers. In the last year, he launched PIH Health’s 2025–2029 strategic plan, directing investment toward new facilities, expanded services and a new electronic health record system.
