PIH Health dedicates newly-renovated chapel

The Downey Patriot — PIH Health Downey Hospital celebrated the dedication of its newly renovated chapel on July 31. Funded by generous donors through the PIH Health Foundation, the space offers comfort and reflection for patients, families, and staff. The ceremony included a blessing by Father Kenneth Chukwu, who emphasized the importance of spiritual care in healing. PIH Health President Jim West highlighted the chapel as a symbol of compassion and community support. Attended by staff, physicians, and supporters, the serene, updated chapel reflects PIH Health’s mission to provide holistic care.
