Whittier to celebrate life of longtime philanthropist Ruth B. Shannon

Whittier Daily News – The city of Whittier will be celebrating the life of a longtime resident and philanthropist in the community – Ruth B. Shannon… As an avid reader, she was a major contributor to the renovations of the East and Main Whittier libraries. The Shannon Family also helped with the building of the PIH Health Maternity Wing and the Ed Shannon Tower, named after her husband.
