PIH Health, Inc., Board of Directors Welcomes Four New Members
Whittier, Calif. (February 3, 2025) – The PIH Health, Inc., (PIH Health) Board of Directors has welcomed four new members—Scott Krog, Regine Lawton, Deborah Medrano, and Scott Southron. Their terms began on December 13, 2024.
Scott Krog has served as the chief financial officer (CFO) of Magnaflow and for Materia, Inc., as well as Regional Finance Director for Colgate-Palmolive. Mr. Krog is an accomplished leader with extensive experience driving profitability, organizational change and collaboration across management levels and partnerships. Mr. Krog is a qualified certified public accountant in California. He holds a master of business administration from Chapman University and received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from California State University, Fullerton.
Regine Lawton is a trusted global advisor and business technology executive with over 25 years of management experience. Ms. Lawton has been leading both Engineering and IT teams over the past 25 years and most recently, CTO at Zartico, with prior roles as Chief Information Officer, Chief Information Security Officer while at Modern Technologies, AeroVironment and Technicolor. Ms. Lawton holds an executive master of business administration from Pepperdine University, as well as a master’s degree in computer engineering from Santa Clara University and a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Pace University.
Deborah Medrano, a former food scientist turned CFO, is a global consumer business leader with 25 years of experience growing brands such as Disney, Discovery, and Harry Potter across categories, channels, and geographies. She has a proven track record in transforming consumer products, entertainment, and technology companies through financial and strategic leadership roles. Ms. Medrano holds a master of business administration from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and earned a bachelor of science in food science from University of California, Davis.
Scott Southron is the CFO of TruConnect Communications. Mr. Southron is a capital funding expert with a strong foundation in public accounting. He has in-depth multi-industry experience in growing new technologies and services for companies such as Price Waterhouse and the Walt Disney Company. His extensive experience has transformed the organizations he serves into market leaders. Mr. Southron received bachelor of science degrees in both finance and accounting from the University of Southern California.

The Board of Directors includes physician, business, community leaders who meet regularly to discuss the current state and future of PIH Health. Mr. Krog, Ms. Lawton, Ms. Medrano, and Mr. Southron join the following 13 Directors who comprise the PIH Health Board of Directors: Alex Alvarez, J. Richard Atwood, Thurso Barendse, Melanie Batiste, Marissa Goldberg, Peter Greaney MD, Jeffrey Hamar, Patrick Monroe, William Roth, Tracea Saraliev, Paul Treinen, Charlotte Weaver RN PhD, and Kenton Woods. The Board officers are as follows: Charlotte Weaver RN PhD, Chair; Patrick Monroe, Vice Chair; Paul Treinen, Secretary; and Alex Alvarez, Treasurer.
