Ahl Jeffrey Caseja MD is an endocrinologist specializing in diabetes, thyroid, adrenal gland, metabolism, and osteoporosis. After his residency in internal medicine at the UNLV School of Medicine, he continued his training in endocrinology at the Sunrise Health MountainView Hospital in Las Vegas. 

Dr. Caseja chose endocrinology because it requires a comprehensive understanding of physiology and biochemistry, combined with objective interpretation of labs with clinical symptoms. Growing up, he had witnessed family members suffer with diabetes which motivated him to go into this field. Endocrinology is rapidly evolving and he has an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of patients while building life-long relationships. Dr. Caseja always tries to ensure that his patients’ questions and concerns are addressed during their visits.

Dr. Caseja served as chief resident at UNLV and has received the UNLV Residency Teaching Award, the Endocrine Society Early Career Forum Award and the American College of Physicians Young Achiever Award. In his personal time, Dr. Caseja enjoys traveling.

I was forced to wait for 40 minutes in the waiting room until the doctor came in to see me. I had to go into the hallway and remind the nurse that I was still in the room!

The doctor told me to make an appointment for a bone density test. When I got home, I called for an appointment and the soonest appointment was 3 1/2 months away. I know a few people who have left PIH because you have to wait months to get an appointment. I used to be very proud to say I went to PIH and now I'm not. I have been considering going to Saint Jude Hospital.

Doctor has been very good in the past but this time seemed rushed and only stayed with me about 10 minutes. Did not discuss my blood work like he had in the past. I hope this is not a trend for I may have to change doctors.

A couple of the answers, I pressed the wrong number, but for the most part, I did maximum on all that. Everything was great. Dr. Caseja, he is very experienced. I've had diabetes for 40 years, and he's probably been one of the best and the most helpful that I've had through the years. So I just wanted to say that, and everything would have been rated at the maximum. So if you see answers that don't reflect that, I probably made an error when I pressed the number. Thanks so much.

The time frame from when I received my ultra sound results and requested an appointment was approximately 3 months (End of Jan to May. There was only one date available in April that I already had another appointment). This wait was a bit much and was nerve racking.

Very cut and dry. Was not very personable. Was kinda vague with his advice leaving it up to me to make some decisions. I asked the Dr to please note the info that he explained to me on the portal and he replied, angrily-you can't tell me what to write on the portal. I told him I just wanted the other Doctors to see what he explained to me as 3 other doctors are involved with the outcome of this appointment and the possible med side affects that were prescribed to me. they all wanted me to see this Dr for his opinion. So it's only proper that the other 3 doctors are aware of what he explained to me.

Dr. has provided excellent information about my condition. I got answers to questions about lab results and my guidelines that would inform me treatment as necessary. I was able to update personal changes of meds, family trans portion etc. that might be a problem and we jointly planned ahead.

I was taken in to the examination room within 5 minutes of my arrival. Saw the doctor almost immediately. Everyone was gracious and smiling. It was a very uplifting expierence and the doctor gave me good news from my biopsy. It was a wonderful appointment.

On behalf of myself, Dr. Carseja is an excellent endocrinologist. He has helped regulate my diabetes and my other health concerns. He's been on top of everything that I need. He's an extremely, extremely smart doctor and knows what he's talking about. I recommend him to anybody, my family members or friends. If it wasn't for Dr. Carseja, I wouldn't know where I would be with my health. He's like I said, he's extremely knowledgeable and very, very good at communication skills and good bedside manners. And his crew there at the clinic, they're all team players. So I would highly recommend this office and Dr. Carseja and his whole crew there for being extremely caring and understand all my medical needs. Again, thank you very much for having people like Dr. Carseja take care of people's health like mine and other people that go and visit him too.

At my recent visit, I actually walked into the wrong office site. I called the office and said I would be about 15 minutes late. I was so gratified to be able to be seen despite my tardiness. All of the staff were very kind, from the reception to the doctor and the nurses.

First of all, the staff is excellent-very attentive-and the doctor or student who saw me before the main doctor was very kind, listened to me, and explained things very well. In contrast, the doctor seemed to be in a hurry to leave. When I asked him to repeat things, he said, "You have the portal; it will be written there." I told him, "I'm sorry, it's just a lot of information," and I really meant it because all of this is new to me. Also, every time he asked me questions about my primary doctor and the surgeon, he would say, "What kind of doctor is that?"-and that didn't make me feel good. In a prof way he shouldn't talk about other Doctors

I was due to get my 2nd Prolia injection and they did not have the injection at the time of my appointment. This is not the first time this has happened and is extremely unprofessional. I have a 30 minute commute to the office so a phone call to reschedule would have been nice.
