Dr. Castellanos chose to specialize in Pulmonary and Critical Care since pulmonary medicine and diseases are of great interest to him. He also enjoys critical care because he is able to help patients and their families during one of their most difficult times in life. Even as a child, Dr. Castellanos loved learning about human physiology and science, and knew that medicine was the only career for him.
Dr. Castellanos comes from a family of 10 children and is the youngest with a twin sister. Two of his siblings are also doctors as well. A part from medicine, Dr. Castellanos enjoys fishing, sports and other outdoor activities.
