DR Luu is an amazing doctor!! I was so scared to have my hip surgery and he made me feel so comfortable and at ease, he explained everything to me listened to everything I had to say. Told me he would come and see me after the surgery to see how I was doing and he did he really cares about you as a person. He did my other hip and I went in that time with no worry what so ever. I knew I was in good hands with Dr Luu!! He is a wonderful, caring, compassionate Doctor!!

Dr. Luu is extraordinary. Timely, concerned, effective, overall fee as if I'm in good hands. I was hoping to receive a surgery about the PA (name removed). Not here to speak Iill of a provider. But this man needs to be spoken to. When one comes into a doctors office we come with concern, looking for answer maybe a little compassion to the pain we are in. To be seen 37 minutes after the first appt of the day is not courteous of our time, as we show up on time for our appt to make sure the patient behind us isn't effected by our untimely arrival. Secondly, to throw gloves up in the air and walk out and tell the nurse have her reschedule with Luu is beyond disrespectful. When initially making the appt they mentioned it would be with (name removed) I was reluctant but was in pain and hoped that the first encounter with him was a fluke of him having a bad day?! That clearly wasn't the case. As I walked in with grace for the PA I immediately knew this was a heart issue of his and not a bad day. You're a semi provider - I understand your not "The Dr" more reason to make a patient feel like they are receiving the best care if the doc isn't available. Not sure if a PA had to take the same oath a real physician did, as a PIH patient for over 30 years, he does not represent the care I have had over the years. Dr. Luu off the charts 10 PA (name removed) needs some etiquette classes.

Everything was fine for me, it was perfect. The only thing I would have liked more is for them to have people who could help us with Spanish. And the person who helped us via webcam was very good, they took great care of us. But I would prefer if... basically, there was someone who could help us with Spanish. Dr. Andrew Luu is an excellent doctor. He performed an excellent knee replacement surgery for my wife in 2024 and my hip surgery on March 20th 2026 was also excellent. Thanks to him we are mobile now and planning trips to visit the world with our new joints. He's very caring very enthusiastic and we love optimism and care that he provided.

I have been released by Dr Luu it's been 2 years since my right hip replacement. Everything is great, no loosing, no slippage. Dr Luu says come see him in 3 years for a 5 year checkup l will call and make an appointment if I have any symptoms or issues that come up. I am very grateful to Dr Luu and his staff. He is the doctor I'll call if I ever need to have my left hip replaced. 10 plus stars in my book??????????????????

The office staff needs to be replaced with efficient employees. The scheduler got my personal info wrong and took 20 minutes to schedule me, leaving me on hold numerous times. I was handed paperwork for blood tests, but they did not provide a location or phone #. The lab downstairs could not perform it, and my primary care office (with a blood lab) could not perform it. I returned to the orthopedic office for blood lab location and phone # clarification, hoping I wouldn't have to pay twice for hospital parking.

My experience with Dr. Luu was the polar opposite of my prior experience with Dr. (name removed) (interestingly, I did not receive a survey request about Dr. (name removed). Dr. Luu was friendly, respectful, and actually listened to me and took my concerns seriously. Dr. (name removed) was dismissive and told me my pain must have been emotionally-based, and that since I wasn't in pain at that moment, I should just come back when I WAS in pain. As PIH has become more and more corporate and "managed," I appreciate my doctors and their wonderful staff more and more. Dr. Luu is a superstar--both brilliant and empathic--even as he's alotted very little time to see each patient. (That's the corporate side. He can listen astutely and convey a lot of caring even in the very short window he has.) Patty (in X-ray) is also worthy of special praise for her kindness and unfailing encouragement. The whole staff, really, is terrific. And I feel that everyone cares--even, as I say, the SYSTEM treats us more and more as numbers.

I went for a 2 year check up for my knee replacement. Doctor was more interested in telling me about my other knee would need to be replaced instead of asking me how my current knee replacement was feeling. I had several problems with the knee replacement and so it's not very strong or stable and he wants me to have surgery on the other knee. No thanks

Dr. Luu is a great doctor. I would recommend him to anybody. The only small issue I have is after the surgery, really wasn't told how it went or if it went well. He usually does that, but in this case, he didn't. It's not a huge issue, but I just wanted to mention it. Other than that, everything was perfect. Thank you.

Dr. Luu is a wonderful orthopedic doctor. I would trust him with my back or with any physical constraints in terms of the bones. He's left my husband with a replacement of a hip and myself and a broken shoulder. He got me in as quickly as he could. I feel like my visit was more directed towards receiving the payment and going through the proceedings of obtaining more money than obtaining my health. My health was not a concern. The doctor never looked at me physically, only walked in and looked at prior charts from prior visits when I had spent prior money going through your insurance and it has failed me.

This was my first visit to see Dr Luu. I did feel a little rushed. I would have liked to have more info about how my knee and ankle problems are related. I see Dr (name removed) for my ankle in December and plan to bring my daughter to help me understand better.

It is always my pleasure to have Dr. Luu as my orthopedic doctor. The maintenance cortisone injections he has administered to my bilateral knees every three months, have been helping me cope up and manage my pain. At the moment, I am not yet mentally ready to get my knees medically replaced. I am confident, when the time is right, I will be in good hands when he performs my knee replacement surgery. I am very hopeful, with his impressive record and knowledge of performing countless successful surgeries in the past, my knee issues will be addressed. Thank you so much Dr. Luu!

Dr. Luu was very compassionate and listened carefully to what I had to say about new pains I was getting in my knee that was bone on bone. His staff was very caring and compassionate when I had an x-ray done and he explained everything to me in great detail.

Hello, this is actually regarding my mom, (PHI removed). The staff at Dr. Luu's office was very, very patient with my mom. She has dementia and she was a lot that day. And everybody from the receptionist, all the way to the x-ray guy, all the way to Dr. Luu himself, everybody was very kind to her and accommodating and I really appreciated that. I give them a 10 out of 10, 100 out of 100. They were great.

He was just basically kind of rushed. I trust him, he's educated, I trust him. But he was rushed and when I came home I had more questions because it's like really quickie quickie. And this is a life-changing thing for me to have or not have the surgery, my knee surgery. So I would have liked him to sit down, not just stand, sit down and have a conversation. Some of these doctors are in such a rush they don't even sit. And I'm in the medical field and I know the best way to communicate with patients is sit down. and talk to him, even it's just important. So yeah, he rushed. So that I did not like and I came home with more questions and what do I do, email him? What do I do? So a little frustrating, I still have other questions and things, but you never get a time to calm down and think.
