During this visit my husband requested a refill of tramadol for my pain. Dr Luu said no problem. His staff would send request to CVS. When we called on Saturday, CVS had no record for a refill. We only had a few pills left at home. Apparently Dr. Luu's office is not open on Saturday. I don't know who dropped the ball at the office but patients should not have to pay the price.

Dr. Luu was very interested in helping me. (We want him to do my husband's probable knee replacement if possible. We will ask him later about that as soon as MY leg is dealt with.) It is very difficult to make an appointment with other PIH medical professionals. Receptionists take up to 45 minutes to answer the phone. I have to go to the hospital or clinic to make the appointment in person. It's very frustrating.

Dr Andrew LUU is definitely very professional and courteous. After treating me for approximately 1 1/2 Year for my knee discomfort we talked about knee replacement . It was delayed due to the Covid situation at the hospital and my surgery occurred on April 13 2022. I am now pain free and going thru home and out patient therapy at the present. I cannot say enough about Dr LUU great job on my left knee surgery and his staff. I want to commend the Home Therapy department names removed) and Home Services nurses and aide and Outpatients Therapy Department (names removed). I could not have been so successful in my recovery.... A fabulous Thank You for Dr LUU and his department of care givers.

Hi, this is (PHI removed) of May 13th appointment afternoon. Dr. Luu was very... very confident or occurred for me as very confident knowledgeable. Most importantly, he opened with the right attitude and acknowledgment. And was a quick study. Listen to me carefully. And put things in terms that I could understand. And was very efficient in outlying the diagnosis. The protocols that might be followed and when and adapted them to my particular circumstance on a particular chemotherapy type drug. And how it impacts the possibility of future protocols. So he was sensitive to that. And I appreciated his healthy

Dr. Luu was very attentive and great to talk to during our morning appointment. He was going to refill the muscle relaxer prescription that would run out in a couple of days, and give a new prescription for another painkiller for my husband (PHI removed), since he wasn't sleeping hardly at all due to pain. I called the pharmacy later in the afternoon and the prescriptions were not available yet. I called the office twice before closing time of 5:00 and spoke to two different people who said the request was put in. I called the pharmacy until they closed at 9pm and the prescriptions were still not there. I was mostly concerned since it was Friday and we would not be able to call the office back until Monday to get the prescription requests to the pharmacy.

My appt time was @ 315 however I was not seen until 350pm I was just about to walk out and leave. I was extremely upset because I left work early for this appt. Had the staff called me, I could have stayed at work and not had to leave early. Once Dr Luu showed up he did apologize for the inconvenience and did provide excellent care. New images were still not taken as I had hoped. I hope my next appt on 6/14 with Dr Luu won't have any delays.

Yes, the doctor said he was going to send a prescription to my pharmacy, which is (name removed) for meloxicam. And up to now it hasn't been received. I've been trying to call the office and no one answers or returns my call. You can call me back at (PHI removed). The pharmacy has been waiting for the prescription refill. Okay. Thank you.

This is my I was up there on the 19th. I waited 35 minutes for him to come in there when he came in, he must have been 5 minutes, he told me to get a prescription. I didn't get it and I called the next day and left a message and they said to be sure I put the right button so I'd be sure to get a new call back, and I did, and they said, okay, someone to call you and I have not heard from them yet so I think this place needs to have something done with it and I thought the doctor didn't spend enough time with me and explain it or help me understand what's wrong with my arm.I'm very unhappy and I'm not recommended him for anything in fact, I'm going to have to go to another doctor for a second opinion. That's it. Bye.

From the first person I saw to the last person I saw (Dr. Luu) was friendly yet professional. I was not kept waiting. I saw the X-ray Technician within minutes of my arrival. I was taken to my room, answered a few questions by the nurse and saw Dr. Luu within minutes. Dr. Luu explained everything to me in great detail that left me with no questions to ask. Everything went smoothly and efficiently. The initial nurse was very warm and friendly. They took an X-ray, the doctor assessed my situation and talked about options and next steps in a straightforward and clear way. Great all around.

Dr Luu was so patient and caring. I was very nervous about getting a cortisone shot and he made it easy and virtually painless. His medical assistant (name removed) was so sweet and took the time to ask me questions ti find out what was going on. Dr. Luu was wonderful in every way and we're so grateful to have him to be the doctor for the hip replacement we just wish he had sat down to talk with us rather than stay standing it seemed to give the message he was in a hurry the nurse who called us from the waiting room was extremely rude and current and unfriendly but everyone else was extraordinarily friendly and welcoming just not that nurse who called us from the waiting room and pointed down the hall and pointed to the room to go in very unfriendly nothing at all in the way welcoming us or even saying hello

Dr. Luu is a very good doctor. He takes his time with me. Explains exactly what's going on with my shoulders and where I stand with any type of surgery. I was very pleased with his evaluation. As far as surgery is concerned, I'm waiting and debating whether or not I should have surgery. The Lady in the admitting counter for online registration was very efficient and kind and helpful. I forgot to ask her name. The assistant staff was efficient. Dr. Luu was very courteous and kind and knowledgeable and friendly and considerate for my case and self decision and not imposing his knowledge. I give him a 5 STAR rating.

When scheduling the appointment, it should be explained to you that each orthopedic at the office specializes in different areas. Dr. Luu specializes in joints of the knees and hips when I needed a hand specialist.

I feel fortunate to have such good orthopedic care from Dr Luu. Last summer he did a hip replacement surgery for my husband who recovered wit no problems. I know my frozen shoulder will be remedied in due time.

Unfortunately due to scheduling issues I had to wait 10 days until I could have my broken Vix shoulder surgery. This was a very difficult and painful period.

Dr. Luu, is a my choice, by my choice. I chose him because I trust him out with anything that I had to do with my health, and he's the one of the best surgeons. I checked (INAUDIBLE) the best surgeons, especially for hip that you could possibly find and his staff is always on top of it, and he does the best you can to schedule me with quickly as I can get in and I have a very severe conditions and I have no problem believing that he's going to solve every problem I have and get me back on my feet again. I definitely think the staff at the office including the doctor were great. The only complaint I had was actually getting a hold of someone. I must have called for 2 hours, probably about 8 different times and it took 2 hours to finally speak to someone. So the phones part, making the actual appointment, was a nightmare, everything else after that was excellent.

The experience was very good, in all respects, except for one thing. The check in with the electronic questions, the stuff I had to put into a machine, is very difficult for me because I have poor eyesight. However, forgetting that, I was seen promptly, Dr. Luu is very pleasant, very charming, and extremely knowledgeable. I liked him very much. He explained everything to me, answered all my questions, and I'm very positive about going ahead with the operation. Couldn't say...I couldn't say anything more than it's excellent. Everything was excellent. I'm extremely impressed with the whole operation, and I like (INAUDIBLE) a lot. Excellent.

Excellent since I had the operation I liked the doctor, I liked everything they did to me, everything was excellent. I would recommend it to anyone single family.

I felt that he didn't actually review my cases, and my history of my health, Good enough to make decisions, in fact, he just looked at my recent report and you know he went off of that. If you wouldn't looked at my, my my history, you would have known how far I have come with losing my weight Getting my A1C down, which I, I did those things, and those are the main things and he didn't take those into consideration. I just felt like he was just brushing me off.

Dr. Luu and his staff We're extremely thorough. He spent the time with me, necessary to make me feel at ease, regarding knee replacement and explained all aspects of it. And basically stated, you know, it's my decision, to do what I need to do, and he made me feel comfortable, about making my decision.

If only one time you little thing when they're going to reset the bone in a body parts for you broken it possibly using twilight sedation versus the numbing to make it less painful, especially if this is the first time you've ever broken a bone, I was scared to death, but they did make it easier but it was still extremely painful and I'm still having a lot of pain, but I know that's normal because of bones are broken it was a compound fracture so I really did a number on it but other than that, everything was fantastic, the staff was perfect very polite, very kind, very courteous and Dr. Luu was absolutely wonderful hurts and everything. I had to say and he took the time to answer all my questions

This is a comment more in general doctor's, not just spoke to Luu that I recently saw. It feels like PIH is rushing their doctors to get through more, and more appointments on a daily basis versus hiring more doctors, and having each doctor spend more time with each patient. That is my comment. Thank you.

And I think the one thing that made the difference with my decision to do the hip replacement was he said he will not die if you don't have it done, but you'll get your quality of life back, and he was right, and I do have it back and I am very, very grateful.
