What's that mean?

Dr. Yen was in a hurry, didn't have time to sit there and talk to me, didn't feel like I was cared about. I was trying to establish a relationship, doesn't seem to be happening. Seems like these doctors are being overworked because they don't have time to talk to their patients, and they're just in a hurry, and just want to get you out.

Dr Yen has always been extremely caring with my Healthcare and ensured I received the access to any specialist necessary.

Very difficult to get an appointment for an emergency or something that comes up other than a physical. Even after urgent care recommends you see your doctor that same week.

Hi, my experience in Dr. Yen's office was great from the beginning to the end. The staff checking me in was courteous, the staff bringing me back to the room was courteous and efficient. The doctor was wonderful as always. I got a follow-up appointment scheduled as I was leaving. All in all, a great experience. Dr. Yen's the best.

So I went recently to PIH. It's typically my usual doctor's office. This is nothing in regards to Dr. Yen, but I did want to leave an experience that did make me feel uncomfortable with the nurse. This is my first time ever having a male nurse, and while he was friendly and chatty, I felt like it was a bit much. He did compliment that I had nice shoulders, which did make me feel uncomfortable, and then proceeded to ask me to flex so he could see the muscles on my arm, and then touched my bicep to then continue saying, yeah, you have nice arms. I think when I was going for to talk to Dr. Yen was anxiety related, so I don't understand why this was necessary at all. It definitely wasn't, in my opinion, and that left me feeling very uncomfortable. So hopefully I think maybe more ?

Dr. Yen is very thorough, has great social skills and very personable.

Dr Yen is a wonderful doctor

All of my experiences with PIH have been beyond great. Although it was my first time seeing her she took her time and thoroughly examined me.

I also wanted to mention asst who helped me before I been seen by Dr Yen he was friendly, and very detailed oriented. Very important in that business. Was the 1st time I met him after going to this office over 15 years. He did a good job of explaining everything and making my appointment for next year.

Well, I had an appointment at the other office on La Mirada, I think it is, in City of Industry, or, I mean, Santa Fe Springs. And it was a bad experience. But this Dr. Yen, she is awesome. I'm more than happy that I finally found someone who I could work with for the rest of my life. I'm 65. And yes, I would be more than happy. I wish my whole family would come with me, with her, with you guys. PIH, you guys are great, respectful. professional, awesome, just awesome.

All was great. Front desk was nice but because I come from the old school cheery smiles and upbeat personality is much better

Dr. Yen and her staff are awesome. They take care of your every need during your visit. I can't say enough about Dr. Yen are her team.

I've known Dr. Yen for several years. She was my Dr. a few times. I chose to see her this time purposely because over the years I've come to view her as one of the most knowledgeable about medication. She explained exactly how my new medicine would work once I've taken it. She showed me on her computer screen exactly what the medicine was for and so on. She's is also very thorough. She doesn't mind ordering tests or having available ones done right there in the exam room. Throughout the years, I complained about her twice- once when she first started at PIH and then again last year, because although she is an excellent doctor, she would come into the room, quickly buzz about saying something, not ask any questions and leave. After my first complaint many years ago, she began taking a little more time to listen, which was great. A couple years ago, she was back to the buzzing about quickly then leaving the room. Well, this passed time, she did everything right! I'm very grateful for that. Hope she keeps it up

The problem that you have at your office is if you call to try to get an appointment because you have an illness and you're concerned about it, it's two, three weeks out and they have no openings. They should have some kind of openings for certain emergencies so you can get in there and not have to wait two to three weeks and not go to urgent care. So that's where the big improvement needs to be.

I haven't been happy with PIH this appointment went well and Dr Yen was very caring and listened to all my concerns. Mixed emotions still but hanging in there

Dr. Yen was a kind of Rush me , don't know why? After all , I mentioned to the Nurse , this nurse was very nice. But Dr. Yen's face & voice tone was very Cold with mean attitude makes me very nervous. I'm so regrets I select her from Google. I was a longtime patient of Urgent Care and seen Bone fracture doctor .... I feel so sorry for myself for this appointment to see her.

I went to have ear wax removed. The doctor was with me less than 5 minutes. She checked my ears and said the nurse would be in and then the doctor left. She didn't ask if I had other concerns which I do. So now I need to wait for either my regular to return or see a different doctor in the office. I waited 6 weeks for this appointment. Previously I had to wait 12 weeks to see my regular doctor. I don't understand why the wait is so long!! That is terrible service!

The provider seemed rushed so I didn't feel like I could be as detailed as thought I could be. She did listen to most of my concerns and I felt that she knew what she was talking about but it all felt really rushed.

The last question, I believe, said, will I recommend any family members? I think I pressed the wrong key, but yes, I would. And also, they've taken care of me really, really good, and that's all I gotta say. They've taken care of me very, very good.

I love Dr. Yen. She listens, she asks, she acts. She knows about me and knows how to respond to any issue. She's articulate. She's the best.

The people at reception are usually busy. It would be nice if they would look up and great you when arriving. Maybe I just came at a bad time.

I felt that Dr. Yen was either in a rush or angry at me or both. Her tone of voice seemed hurried, angry, and frustrated. When we spoke about a health issue, she seemed very condescending. Dr. Yen would offer some type of course of action but would tell me I don't have to do it in a manner that made me feel like I didn't care about my health and was just wasting her time.

Dr yen was very attentive to everything i had to say. She was very easy to work with and provided solutions to every single thing i had to say. She explained everything in a way that was easy for me to understand. Best of all, I didnt feel rushed. Thank you. Office and medical staff were also attentive and helped me in any way they could. Good friendly atmosphere. Thank you again. :)

Excellent physician! I felt like my care was a partnership between myself and Dr. Yen. (Name removed), the MA, was also very efficient and nice!

She was knowledgeable but very dry and seemed annoyed. There was rarely any eye contact and no smile.

I did not have a scheduled appointment, but after explaining my symptoms to the nurse, they made it possible for me to be seen. I received a call asking me to come in at 4:00 p.m. Dr Yen took the time to listen to my concerns and after a thorough check she was concerned enough to send me to the ER. This was important because it was the day before a holiday and long weekend and tests/treatment could not be delayed.

I had my annual physical exam yesterday with Dr. Yen, and I was very pleased with the care and attention I received. From the start, she was warm, professional, and thorough in her approach. What stood out most was her commitment to preventative care and long-term wellness. She took the time to explain my current health status clearly and answered all of my questions with patience and insight. Dr. Yen also provided practical, evidence-based advice on how to stay healthy as I age, including recommendations for nutrition, physical activity, and mental well-being. She emphasized the importance of routine screenings including breast, colon, hearing, dental, vision with specialty doctors. She gave helpful suggestions tailored to my lifestyle and health history. I truly appreciate her focus not just on treating illness, but on promoting overall health and quality of life. I left the appointment feeling informed, empowered, and motivated to maintain healthy habits. Thank you, Dr. Yen, for your compassionate care and dedication to your patients' long-term well-being.

Dr. Yen is the best! She is very thorough and I trust her implicitly.

Dr Chiao Yen is a very intelligent Doctor, Patient focused, Listen's to my symptoms carefully before diagnosing my condition, then proscribing the necessary medicines/treatments.

Dr Yen always shows concerns to my problem, listens well and made appropriate referrals as needed. I have seen her for years now and always trust her care.

Dr. Yen is amazing Dr. we all know it. And because she is very good, we all want to see her for our medical needs. Due to her popularity, it just takes a while to get an appointment. A while meaning at least 30 days or so.

I'm quite happy with the care and attention that Dr. Yen gives me. She's cheerful and always listens to what I tell her about my health concerns. Does not delay any action required to address whatever needs to be done regarding any health issue. Very professional and attentive always. I'm glad she is my primary doctor.

My appointment was at 3:20pm. I had to see the Dr after 4pm.

Office staff, the doctor's assistant needs to be more respectful and kind towards the patient and how they explain things and ask questions.

when the doctor left the examination room, i thought she would return shortly, so i waited there. after about ten or fifteen minutes, i found out that there was a misunderstanding, and that i should have left. a staff member apologized to me and helped me conclude my visit satisfactorily

The are very nice and the care

The office helper/nurse was new out of the box. He should have had someone along with him/more experience until he gains extra experience/time dealing with patients, specifically, older folks.

I just feel like the doctor doesn't take the time to really listen to you and I feel like she's always in a hurry.
