Dr. Rice sums up the passion for his profession in two words: “The patients! I really enjoy helping people to see and resolving their visual acuity issues,” he says. Noting the key role of diagnosis to patient outcomes, he says “We discuss their specific needs, which gives me the chance to understand my patients and their lifestyles.” Dr. Rice credits his parents with his decision to become a physician, adding “I chose optometry to practice in different settings.”
