Professionalism at its best!

It is truly amazing to know that when you walk in, the staff is always very warm, very professional. When we get checked in, it feels so comfortable already knowing the process, consistent routine, explanation of what the purpose of our visit is, our options, any findings. Everyone is always amazing and it's always so nice to see Dr. Shamiyeh. He's very smiley, he's very comfortable with our kids and he greets our kids even when we bring our sibling to the appointment. He's always greeting them as well. We're always so happy to be in this office. Thank you so much.

It was our first time meeting with this doctor and my daughter is usually really nervous going to the doctor's office, but he made us feel so comfortable. And leaving the doctor's office, my daughter said how much she liked this provider. And I'm just really thankful that he just listened to everything we had to say, was extremely helpful, and asked us lots of questions just to make sure that we felt like we were heard. And again, my daughter felt very comfortable. And I'm sure any other time now that we go to the doctor's, she's going to be happy with this provider that we will see. Thank you.

Valerie was extremely helpful!!! I needed a sports form filled out for my child and she immediately noticed that I did not have the updated version and helped to locate the new one. I am so grateful that she went above and beyond. Dr. Shamiyeh was also great! My child really liked him and felt comfortable. He was kind and polite the entire time. Great overall visit!

Good experience good doctor

From check-in to check out, our visit was overall a wonderful experience per usual. The doctor was compassionate. He was understanding. He listened to my concerns and he was very great with his demeanor towards my daughter. My daughter was very comfortable and she's usually very scared when she goes to the doctor's office. We had a very wonderful experience. My daughter is feeling better. We appreciate PIH and the great outstanding care that is always provided.

Dr. Ferdinand Shamiyeh should work on his bedside manner. I understand the concerns in regards to my newborns weight, but his approach was insensitive. I had just given birth 2 days before and to be told I'm starving my child. We drove for 40 mins to get the appointment and my baby was fussy from the drive. He proceeded to give us formula without even asking what my plan was for feeding. Had his approach been more tactful, I would not have minded the suggestion for formula. But this whole visit I was made to feel like a bad parent and that I didn't know what I was doing when it's my 4th child. Please have him work on how he approaches patients. This is coming from someone that is not only the parent of a patient, but also someone that works for PIH as well. I wouldn't want anyone to feel the way I was made to feel.

I brought my baby in because of his recent trip to the NICU. I was explaining to the provider my concerns and he asked me if I was a first time mom because of how many questions I was asking. I found it very rude.

We were able to be seen quickly and Dr Shamiyeh was great! He really listened and addressed all of our concerns.

Yes, I was very happy with the treatment for my daughter, like I had stated when I was there. Dr. (name removed) is her pediatrician. There were no appointments available, and so this pediatrician was able to see her. But again, the staff from the front desk to the nurses that come in to the doctors, everyone took their time and they really give you the feeling like you're not just a number that they're trying to get through. And even after once I left in regards to issues I was having with my insurance card for the prescription, even though it was lunch hour, one of the ladies called me and confirmed and I was able to fill my prescription. So I thank you very much.

Dr. Shamiyeh is an outstanding physician. He shows so much care and compassion towards my kids. His staff are also very nice and friendly.

Very kind and good listener

I took my son to the doctor to get medication for a cough that has not gotten better. Unfortunately, the pharmacy had to send a message to the doctor. It's been three days and the doctor still has not responded with an alternative medication. So I don't understand why would I take my son to the doctor to get medication for something that he's not even able to get because the doctor's failure to respond to the pharmacy.

Always so nice and courteous, from the minute you check in to every moment you're being serviced. Everyone is kind and professional. We absolutely love our doctor!

First time meeting with this Dr. He was great with our son and was super nice and respectful. Very easy to talk to and understand. Great visit and will continue to schedule appointments with this Dr moving forward.

This was the first time seeing this particular doctor as the appointment was called in the same morning. So we got in very quickly and the doctor was very attentive to myself and my son. He listened to my son very thoroughly as my son was explaining some things and had some questions about food and just some dietary questions. So he offered his feedback and it was very nice. Very pleasant doctor. Thank you.

Always a great experience

The overall experience during our Doctor appointment was great. Office staff and nurse very professional and Doctor explained in good details on how to take care of the injury my son sustained playing football. He listened to our concerns and provided us ways to treat his injury for a speedy and healthy recovery.

Dr. Shamiyeh was very kind and helpful. I really enjoyed meeting him and my son liked him a lot.

We have seen Dr Shamiyeh for 6 months now and every time I feel as though he hasn't listened to my concerns regarding my infant at all. He is very dismissive when I bring up concerns, listening only for a response and not to help and also rushes through his exams. Our visit on 8/25 was my final straw when I again brought up an issue regarding my sons signs of reflux and was told I was just over feeding him formula (he was born at 9lbs and is 19lbs at 6 months old) and needed to make solids be his main source of food and use formula as a supplement. I have raised 2 other children and know that isn't factually correct and cannot believe I was given such wrong information from a pediatrician. I have requested to have my son's doctor be changed and hope to never see Dr Shamiyeh again for any of my children.
