Ihab Alomari MD is a fellowship trained interventional cardiologist specializing in interventional and structural heart disease. Dr. Alomari chose medicine because he is passionate about helping people through innovations in medicine. He had a best friend who died of cardiomyopathy when he was in medical school, which influenced him to focus on the field of cardiology.
Dr. Alomari enjoys building relationships with patients and helping those who suffer from heart attacks as well as being able to fix heart problems with minimally invasive techniques. He is dedicated to his patients and treats every patient as if they were his own family. He also has an impressive track record of providing high quality care to his patients.
As a member of the faculty at the University of California-Irvine, Dr. Alomari was a key member for the training program and structural and valve disease programs. He collaborated with other specialties to deliver superior medical care. Dr. Alomari worked with the United Nations as a medical escort, helping refugees from different parts of the world. He continues to serve as a consultant to medical technology and innovation groups.
Dr. Alomari’s interest is in patient outcomes and whole person care. To that end, his focus has been on minimally invasive techniques that have the potential to significantly alter patients’ outcomes while maintaining superior quality and service.
In his personal time, he enjoys fishing, travelling and volunteering. He was awarded the American’s Most Honored Doctors in 2021 and Southern California Top Doctors in 2022.
