Katherine Kim MD is a board-certified gastroenterologist dedicated to excellent patient care. She first became interested in gastroenterology while conducting pancreatic cancer research at Johns Hopkins prior to medical school. A native of Southern California, Dr. Kim completed her fellowship training at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. She has been fortunate to train with several top gastroenterologists who have inspired her along the way. Her interests include colon cancer screening, endoscopic management of gastrointestinal bleeding, GERD, abdominal pain, inflammatory bowel disease, and liver disease.
One of her guiding philosophies is that it is a privilege to care for her patients and to be trusted with their care. She has received the Super Doctors Award and has been recognized as a Top LA Doctor by the Los Angeles Business Journal.
Outside of work, Dr. Kim prioritizes her own health-she has strong personal interests in wellness and nutrition. She enjoys staying active with yoga, boxing, and Pilates as well as spending quality time with her family and friends.
