Dr. Dholaria earned his bachelor’s degree in biology and his medical doctorate from the Virginia Commonwealth University, where he graduated with honors as an undergraduate and received the dean’s merit scholarship as a medical student. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Miami School of Medicine/Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. He served as chief resident in quality and patient safety at the University of Miami School of Medicine/Jackson Memorial Hospital. Dr. Dholaria also completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of Miami School of Medicine/Jackson Memorial Hospital, serving as chief fellow. Dr. Dholaria is board certified and has membership with the American College of Gastroenterology, the Gastroenterological Association and the Member of American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. He has published several times and has research experience in the fields of biology, pharmacology and toxicology.

During his free time, Dr. Dholaria enjoys being active, travelling, spending time with his family, and thinking about his next hobby. He is an avid sports fan and will happily chat with you about your favorite team.

Once contact was made they gave me an appointment for 3 months later prior to the 3 months that was changed to another 3 months but once I was able to see the doctor everything was fine. He's an excellent doctor and I was treated very well there. Thank you

The experience at the hospital was very calming. The nurses were great. Every single one of the staff members that I encountered while at the hospital before and after my procedure were excellent, starting with (two names removed), who were my nurses when they were getting prepped. Then also two, (two names removed) and (name removed) at the end when she cared for me after the procedure. And also Dr. Dholaria was excellent. I felt very safe. My recovery was very, I think it had to do a lot with the care that I was given that I recovered so quickly. So it was a great experience. And I was scared going in, but I felt very safe during my stay.

Discussions and questions by nurses prior to procedure. Doctor spoke to me for one minute before being taken from prep area to procedure room. I did not have any questions for doctor because nurses answered all of them. The details provided at discharge answered by concerns. Overall, great visit to PIH compared to prior visit to DCH. Please commend the admin and nursing staff for providing good professional service.

Dr. Dholaria is a good GI doctor but sometimes can be a bit harsh with how he delivers health information. This would be my first time feeling a bit hurt with how he lacked understanding with my weight management after going through a hysterectomy and a long journey of health problems. . All the progress I did make isn't really talked about as much as the scale numbers unfortunately.

Dr. Dholaria is unreliable in regard to calling patients back after he said he was going to do that. He doesn't respond to messages left by his staff either. I called everyday for a week and he still hasn't responded.

The doctor was really nice and very professional, but what it does take a long, long time for phones to be answered when trying to make appointments. And also the length of time for any appointment, it took me months to get this appointment. So yeah, that's something to have patients wait when they're concerned about an issue they have. That's all.

First of all, Dr. Dholaria was amazing. He is an incredible doctor and I would recommend him to anybody. But I do think your front office staff, the ones who sign in people, need to be a little friendlier, especially as soon as you walk in the door, the first one. Several times now I've been to the office. She never smiles, never gives eye contact. I'm sure she has a lot to do, but I just think that they need to be a little friendlier at the front desk. Doctors and staff are great. Information System/ Security, and patient information sharing not so good. Staff having to work twice as hard to communicate with patients, as well as patient involvement in terms of prescriptions & suppling prior test results since doctor offices have limited access to patient information due to ransomeware attack. Please place more importance on cyber security!
