wait was about an hour I had too ask what is up no one told me anything

The Dr. listened to what the probl;em was with my eye. Inspected it, Ordered a prescrption and a referral for a specialist to look at my eye for possible surgery.

This was my first visit with Dr. Rice. He was amazing and put me at ease. I will see him again in 6 mo. I would recommend him to my family.

I was seen at 2:30 as my appointment had been scheduled for. I told them I had a pick up at 3:30. It was my first visit so they accommodated me very well to make sure I didn't miss my ride that was scheduled very friendly very respectful and my doctor Rice was very very informative

My experience with Dr Rice and his staff was amazing and professional. They took me in right away due to my circumstances. Super fantastic! This has nothing to do with my visit but any time I get an opportunity I want PIH know that it is really wrong to charge for parking at the hospital. It is a "community" hospital and for middle and lower income it is terrible that they must pay to visit their loved one or I was waiting to pay for my parking and the PHI patient in front of me clearly battling serious cancer was digging in her purse for money. I of course helped her but that's not the point. She shouldn't stress trying to find money for parking nor should patients or families.

My appointment was at 4pm did not see the eye doctor till 5:35 waited for over an hour half I'm a pretty patient person but that was unexceptionable when I came out the office staff had already left for the day didn't leave until after 6 pm

I was very disappointed with the way I was not seen on the time of my actual schedule appointment. I did the online check in and was told to arrive 15 minutes early to avoid any delays but still waited 30 minutes after till I got called I was ready to leave. luckily I spoke the technician and he gave me a few minutes to hear me out. I appreciate that.

Hi, I just wanted to let you know that I thought the doctor was very knowledgeable and was willing to share that knowledge instead of just letting me sit there watching him move around and doing things. He explained everything, even if I didn't understand it, explained it so I could understand it. Very knowledgeable and I wish all of her doctors at PIH were like him. Thank you.

It was my first time at that facility. I didn't know what to expect. Your team is exceeded my expectations.

Although I waited 45 mins to be seen by Dr Rice he was well worth the wait. He apologized for the delay but was extremely thorough in his examination and answered all my questions. At no point did I ever feel he was rushing through the exam. He was methodical and deliberate and explained things in a way I could understand. He was very knowledgeable and confident and made me feel at ease from the start. He spent a considerable amount of time with me and therefore I felt, all things considered, I would have waited an hour happily for the kind of service, professional and attention I received. I am so grateful that he is my diabetic ophthalmologist. Wish there were more doctors like him.!!!!!!

Dr. Rice was very thorough and extremely kind and really, really took his time to explain my condition thoroughly. I really appreciated him.

Need my appointment in 6 months, I need 7 months due to being gone. Only problem was the December calendar wasn't available, have to call back.. No big problem

Dr. Rice was very informative and helpful at my visit. However, the receptionist that checked me in, she tried to charge me a higher copay. I tried to explain to her my benefits and I know that it was less of a copay. I have to speak to one of the managers or somebody in charge and they had to fix it. She didn't really care to listen to me, what I had to say. So I feel that I've done that position before there at PIH. and I know how that job is and patients are always first and I feel that I wasn't put first. Thank you and have a great day. Bye-bye.

This office is such an uplifting experience! I was treated by Dr. (name removed) at one visit and Dr. Rice at two others. The office personnel get along so well and treat patients in the same way. Both of the doctors were very caring, kind and knowledgeable. I haven't had a better experience anywhere!!!

Yes, I'm (PHI removed), and I saw Dr. Rice on Thursday the 21st. I liked the service from everyone in the office, from him personally, everything. But I feel that to diagnose what I had, this is what they diagnosed me with during my initial exam at my doctor's office, Dr. (name removed), perhaps some more in-depth tests were needed, where they check everything with a machine that allows them to look deeper into the eye, because I went there for something related to my retina. Thank you.

What I liked most was that I don't speak English, so the person who translated for me was incredibly helpful and did a fantastic job. The doctor listened to everything I wanted to say through the translator, and he answered all my questions, so I'm very happy. Thank you.

I Love this facility

Dr. Rice made time to see me despite a full schedule. His easy-going manner helped set me at ease about my eye problem. He clearly knew his stuff, and was able to explain it to me very well.

I think the improvement for the visit with the doctor's office would be less wait time. I waited two hours and 15 minutes to see him. My appointment was at 3:15 and I didn't see the doctor until 5:30. I think that is too much time to wait for a provider considering that I did have to go back to work and I was unable to. Otherwise, I think that his service was excellent and I would recommend him, but I would not recommend that office. Thank you.

This office staff is AMAZING!!! Front desk was super nice and took me in urgently, as I was having some urgent issues. They took me in right away and the doctor was equally amazing!! Super nice, checked me out thoroughly and explained everything!!!!

The nurse (name removed) was Awesome, she listened to everything I had concerns about, put it in the notes, and Dr Rice touched base on it. Very satisfied, I'm a little disappointed with my date to see the Optometrist because it's 3 months from now and I need new glasses badly, but it is what it is, if a cancellation comes in, please notify me. the waiting to see the DR. was a bit too long, about 45 minutes after my eyes were dilated. but once inside with DR Kevin Rice every thing went smooth. he is a truly professional. I would love to be seen by Dr. Kevin Rice again.

It was a long wait. My appointment was at 3:30. I was the last person to leave. It was after 5. The room was packed like a herd of animals in there. The chairs were so close, everybody was like touching shoulders. The chairs should be separated and people coughing with no masks and it was just bad. bad. That's my only complaint. To stay that long and I even got there early and to be the last one out the door and that was ridiculous. I know they're busy, whatever, but they shouldn't book people if they're that behind. That's my main complaint. Too many people and it was, like I said, I've never waited that long in a doctor's office.

The doctor said in English that he was covering for another doctor and a nurse, and they couldn't find what's wrong with my eyes, which are bothering me a lot and making it hard to drive. He gave me an appointment for another two months because he said he couldn't tell what the problem was right now. The doctor didn't know much, and if they do, they're just playing games. Because if I cross the border into Mexico, they'll cure me in the blink of an eye. I don't understand what's going on. Thank you.

The doctor I saw really wore me out. He had so much to say. All I can say is more information than I needed, I would say. Anyway, yeah, he's good, but just a little too much information for me. I was tired when I left.

From the front desk to the doctor, everyone treated me with kindness and respect.

There are two waiting rooms. They placed us in the front waiting Room and forgot we were there. Our appointment was at 2:00pm and the Dr. did not call us until 4:20pm. The Dr said he called us earlier but we did not respond. The reason we did not respond is because the staff placed us in another waiting room and then forgot we were there.

Dr. Kevin Rice is a very knowledgeable and cares for his patient. He was so patient and talked or explained everything to me in detail using the most simple words that I could understand my health condition, taking hs time and never in a hurry to get rid of me.

Dr. Rice and Staff are the best! I went in without an appointment because of a swollen eye. The Staff employee at the front office checked to see if a Doctor could fit me in. Dr. Rice graciously fit me in. He checked my eye told me what was going on and explained throughly what the problem was and gave me instructions on how to treat my eye at home.
