I went in to Urgent Care for burns on my face and eyes. They expedited me straight to an optometrist which I was thankful for, but Indidnt get any treatment on my blistered skin which is still painful. But other than that I'm always satisfied with the care I receive at PIH. THANK YOU

This was my first appointment with Dr lii. I was very impressed and immediately comfortable and heard. I had been considering multi focal contact lenses and he explained them in detail, as a result I decided to wait until the technology matures. He is an asset to your organization.

The receptionist did not treat me with respect or courtesy. She used a very kind tone with people who spoke English well. When she realized that I spoke Spanish, her standards changed. Let me explain my reasons: When I approached the front desk, I informed her about my appointment, and she told me that my appointment had been canceled because the doctor was not going to be there. I explained that no one had informed me about the cancellation. Without any explanation, she handed me an electronic tablet to register myself. It was my first time using that tablet since I always pre-register online. I asked for help twice, and although she assisted me, she was not kind. Even though I appreciate that the young woman helped me and still checked me in despite my appointment supposedly being canceled, I do not appreciate being treated with a bad attitude. In general, at the Santa Fe Springs office, the people at the front counter, mostly the women, are not friendly, especially toward Latinos. They need customer service training ASAP. Another aspect that PIH needs to improve is their phone service, especially the billing department. I have been suggesting for years that it is almost impossible to get someone to answer the phone. The doctors are all excellent, and I am comfortable with PIH, but the front desk staff need more kindness, especially with Hispanic customers who struggle with English. Thank you for your attention.

The only thing that I would say I was not happy at all and it was really a hassle is getting into the parking, the line to get a ticket and to find parking. That would be the only reason why I would not return. Or I can go to other facilities where I don't have to pay to see a doctor for the parking and so much easier.

Dr Lii was excellent. She gave me my Eyeglasses and Contacts examination and we discussed different options from my eye care and we settled on a plan between both of us which left me very happy. Dr. Lii was patient and kind towards my son and I. I understood my worries and concerns regarding my son's eye infection. He knew what my son had based on his examination and expertise. I was glad that he knew out what infection my has. We had a positive and pleasant experience at the eye center location.

Dr. Lii and his eye care center staff provided a very satisfying encounter as did the PIH hospital staff. All were obviously trained to be patient focused which I, at 91 and not that mobile, appreciated. On another related important matter, I am the caregiver for my wife who is not computer or smart phone oriented. Please always be sure she and others like her can always rely on the old fashioned phone contact portal way of making timely appointments, providing information you need about her, and getting messages to doctors who are treating her. Your PIH telephone staff who are patiently on the phone and patient/ customer trained are very much appreciated. My wife is not well and can be very abrupt, which not like her normally. Both of us are currently nervously waiting on medical test results and rely on PIH staff contact.

I am a patient of Dr. (name removed) for years. I was scheduled to see him 06/05. Recently I have serious dry eye problems and called his office to see if he could see me sooner. I was informed that he's fully booked until 06/05 and referred me to Dr. (name removed) in Santa Fei Springs on 03/21. Dr. (name removed) canceled my appointment 03/20 due to an emergency and I was referred to Dr. Mark Lii in Whittier. I am wondering if PIH can better manage eye doctors appointments so patients are not bounced around?

Overall I had a great experience during my visit with my dr. Dr. Mark Lii. The receptionist was not as friendly but I just wish she was a bit more welcoming in the greeting. The assistant who took down information and gave me the basic exam was a bit rude. As I would speak and relayed Information to her questions, She would cut me off short in my speaking. She seemed to rush me through the process she was doing. I then just waited in another room that she told me Dr. Mark Lii would be seeing me shortly. I was a bit disappointed in this young lady. I think her work skills could be a little bit nicer. ?

Dr. Lii was extremely thorough, a quick study of my situation, and gave me an immediate solution to my problem. It immediately went away after the shot he placed perfectly in my joint and I was able to be highly functional and mobile again. I am so grateful for his early diagnostics and instant solution and treatment that solved my problem to this day. He was personable and efficient. I respect this doctor's knowledge, diagnosis.

I made an appointment, was there on time 15 minutes prior and waited almost an hour and 15 minutes because the receptionist and the person attending people did not have an understanding or track of who was there or who needed to be seen next. So therefore, they completely ignore the fact that people had been there longer and the people who had just walked in without appointments were seen. This prompted me to ask the receptionist why this was happening and she briefly asked me to stop speaking to her because she was on the phone. It's great that this provider is close to home however, to be charged for parking to visit an Optometrist for this specific location is absurd versus the other offices. Reasons why we visit this location versus the other three. The earliest date for this provider. Closest to my home. A bigger selection of glasses. Friendlier office personnel. Dislike paying for parking.

It's my first time there and I had issues with the receptionist regarding information I was asking her for and she said that they didn't have it. So I had to call my insurance and verify that I have the permission to come to this hospital to do my vision. But at the end of the day, they found out that they did have me and I just thought that that was a waste of time going back and forth doing all the legwork for the appointment. Had a bit of a wait in office, but not bad. The pre doctor visit dialating my eyes went smoothly and she explained everything. Saw Dr. Li and he was very friendly, listened carefully, spent time explaining what floaters are, and what to expect in the future, did the exam and gave me clean bill of health, but said future floaters are still a possibility, but should go away in time, will definetly see him again.

At 82 I thought that he would have created a few thing wrong with my eyes and would have asked me to come back three months later to do different things ( like other one did to me , for money I guest, at Long Beach when I was still working). Dr. Lii was extremely thorough. He checked my eyes very, very thoroughly, and I appreciated the time he spent and his explanations of what was going on with my eyes, and he very much allayed my concerns. So, again, thank you. He was superb.

Dr. Lii didn't seem to know how the refraction machine works. My daughter was unable to see anything at the beginning, which had never happened with Dr. (name removed), her regular optometrist. Dr. Lii appeared flustered. He's super nice, however!

Hi, this is (PHI removed) caretaker, mom. Our visit was okay. It was a first-time visit. It feels like with a lot of the providers with Kaiser that nobody is able to give us any answers on what is happening with (PHI removed). I know that it is a puzzle, and I just wish that more can be offered if Kaiser can't figure it out for us then maybe they should try to help us figure it out outside of Kaiser. But I wasn't offered that. And again, been dealing with this since he was one year old. And at this point, still not able to give me an official diagnosis.
