Dr. Odou derives great satisfaction from general surgery because, he says, “Patients are usually cured of their problems.” The product of a medical family, Dr. Odou credits his father with inspiring him to become a physician, saying “My dad was a great doctor.” He finds medical practice to be intellectually rewarding and challenging. Dr. Odou says that his patients might be surprised to hear that he comes from a family of six children and he has six children of his own. The avid cyclist likes to bike to work from his home in Huntington Beach.
