Michelle Choi DO is a family medicine doctor who chose to pursue a career in medicine because she is a strong believer in lifelong learning, particularly in the medical field, and seeks to use her knowledge to make a positive difference in her patients. She believes in the importance of continuous learning, as new discoveries and studies are made every day in healthcare.
Dr. Choi feels privileged to be entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing others’ health and that her work impacts their wellbeing on a daily basis. She chose her specialty because preventative care is one of the cornerstones of family medicine and today, many chronic diseases are preventable with education and awareness.
As a primary care physician, Dr. Choi looks forward to working with her patients to help them stay healthy. She strives to practice evidence-based medicine, taking patient’s preference and value, current research evidence into account when caring for her patients. Furthermore, she enjoys caring for a diverse age group, connecting with her patients regularly and fostering long-lasting relationships.
Dr. Choi was born and raised in Hong Kong and moved to West Covina with her family when she was in middle school. In addition to English, Dr. Choi is fluent in both Mandarin and Cantonese as well. Outside the clinic, she likes spending time with her family and friends, discovering new restaurants, coloring, and crafting.
