Dr. Giurgius, became a psychiatrist “to raise the standards of mental health.” With a fellowship in adult and geriatric, Dr. Giurgius specializes in treating depression, mood disorders and Alzheimer’s disease. Other areas of expertise include medicine management, ADHD/ADD, dementia, memory loss, obsessive compulsive, bipolar and mood disorders and substance abuse. In practice in Los Angeles and Orange County for 20 years and known for his warmth and compassion, he serves as a mentor in The Youth Movement, a Los Angeles-based organization that strives to increase understanding among high school and college students of geriatric adults, especially those with Alzheimer’s disease.
