I have been a patient of Dr. Martinez for nearly 20 years, and I can honestly say she has always provided exceptional care. She truly takes the time to listen and address every concern. I trust her completely, and she has made such a positive impact on my health and well-being over the years. In fact, I now pay for a different insurance plan just so I can continue seeing her. That alone speaks to the confidence and appreciation I have for her. I am incredibly grateful to have Dr. Martinez as my provider and highly recommend her to anyone seeking outstanding medical care.

When Dr. Martinez explained things to me, I had another question and she was almost out the door with her cart. And I really needed to ask her the question. It seemed like she wanted to get out of the room as fast as possible. I know she has other patients but I just felt like she just wanted to get away from me

Always feel at ease after being seen by Dr. Martinez especially if it's after being in ER

The practitioner herself did a great job in listening to me and caring for me. I think it was the staff members who helped me out before I was seen by the practitioner. So whoever the person was who walked me to the room, sometimes it feels like that person just doesn't want to be there and no communication whatsoever, just typing in the computer for whatever reason they have to type in for. And that's all.

Very attentive and speak my language.

I love Dr. Norma, she listens, she explains in detail and is never in a rush to get to the next patient.

Needs more open schedules appointments

Hello, I wanted to share my experience was very disappointing and I'm very upset about how I was treated and taken care of. I came in with a list of questions. I was prepared. I had some concerns regarding my health that were treated very poorly. I was, the doctor or the Dr. Martinez or the NP, the PA, I'm not sure their title, they were in and out less than five minutes. I had multiple questions and concerns and I don't feel like any of it was handled or cared for. The medical assistant who took me in didn't even make eye contact with me. It was awkward. It just felt like they were trying to get me in and get me out and I am still not feeling well. I have more questions that, I left with more questions than I had answered and I'm really disappointed.

This Dr. Martinez is very unpleasant, she is important, arrogant and very bad.

Scheduling a routine office visit means 4 to 6 weeks out. Urget visits are impossible.

Dr Martinez carries herself with professionalism and a kind demeanor. With genuine concern about her patients.

I couldn't see my primary doctor until July 29 so I had to see a nurse to get my prescriptions renewed. I'm a new patient and I'm disappointed on the long wait for an appointment. Other than that I was satisfied.

I love Dr Martinez, she is thorough and takes time to listen to my concerns.

Once I got into the office, they took exceptional care of me. Dr. Martinez was amazing. It was trying to get into making an office appointment that was really difficult and it was like two months out before they could get me in. And also when I called back to the callback center, trying to get urgent messages to the office from when I was in the hospital to take care of things before I was discharged, it never got to the office. And then today I went in for a biopsy and I needed to get lab work done and the order clarified and I left an urgent message yesterday with this call center and I never got a call back from the office. So I had a lot of problems getting the biopsy done today. So the office itself is great and the treatment I got from Dr. Martinez is amazing. It's just the communication, getting a message into the office and then back out. So please call me at (PHI removed) with any questions. Thank you.

I was very apprehensive about seeing a new doctor since Dr. (name removed) retired, but I was pleasantly surprised and pleased with how much time Dr. Martinez spent getting to know me and my medical history. She explained things clearly and showed concern for my health status.

I've been seeing Dr. Martinez for many years and have always had a positive experience with her, as well as with her assistant. The only downside is that she has developed a pretty large patient load, which does impact her availability (although they are good at getting you in for more urgent issues).

I had an urgent problem, seen at the urgent care, took 2 weeks to get into see MD. I called everyday for a cancellation, Went and sat in the Lobby for 3 different days, Unable to get in. Once I saw MD everything is now a Stat FOR AN URGENT PROBLEM. Dr Martinez, did expedite getting stat things taken care of. Just frustrating, Got the feeling that an ear problem is not urgent

In December 2025 I encounter a problem with Sciatic nerve, Dr. Martinez ordered X-rays for my right hip and knee, few days later someone from her office called me supposedly giving me good news that not arthritis on my hip, I continued to try for her to send me to a Chiropractic but could not get an appointment with her, I tried through the Insurance they called her for me but not succeeded; with lots of pain and sleeping only two to three hours a night for approximately seven weeks I was forced to wait until February 10, 2026 yesterday I tried my best to ask Dr. Norma Martinez to send me to see a Chiropractic but she denied me that, last night I only slept only about two hours that is a terrible pain that goes from the hip to the knee an lower leg.... Honestly I do not know what to do. In addition I told Dr. Martinez that I was out of needles and lancets to check my sugar and she ignored that else.... I am completely dissatisfied with her attention to this particular problem that I have, she only concentrates with the blood test results which I appreciate, but priorities has been my goal for me and I am not getting that from her.... Dr. Martinez is lovely and she was probably in a really big hurry because this was the most rushed appointment I've ever had in my life. And as I was asking her questions, she was walking out the door and said to me, and I quote, that's all for today. I wasn't finished, but she seemed like she had somewhere else to be.

I was happy with the staff as far as being professional, but they just were not very friendly. Thank you.

Experience was good but I just do not like to recommend provider to people

I scheduled this appointment to have Dr. Martinez complete a letter of medical necessity to allow me to purchase a treadmill using my FSA funds. It is very unfortunate that she felt it was not necessary because I was healthy and she could not find a medical need. This purchase is an investment for my health, I don't comprehend that I have to be ill. It is unfair and shows she doesn't care about the health of patients.

Dr. Martinez listened to me carefully and addressed my health successes and problems. I was pleased that she went through all my test results and explained each area thoroughly. I find that if I have an early appointment, things don't seem as rushed. The appointments in the middle of the day or later can be short and I leave feeling that it was a whirlwind appointment where I just was kind of rushed in and out. I suppose it's because by then the appointments are overlapping more and there's less time to spend with each patient.

Dr Martinez is very knowledgeable and proactive in patient care.

Dr. Martinez if very nice and understanding. Always answers my questions and respects my concerns and my preference for limited medication interventions.

It took a long time to get an appointment and since it was my first visit, all the questions I needed answered were not made on this appoint I want her to check my toe I just, took Dr. about it but was never look at and also I need a referral for an eye specialist Dr and need a eye drop prescription and this was not talked about during my visit on Jan 15, 2026. Visit seems a bit rushed just with new questions about my family history. Hoping the next visit I can get more of my issues and questions answered and resolved.

I have been with Norma Martinez for quite some time. I feel very confident with her when I am visiting her her nursing staff on this visit was extremely courteous and attentive. This overall experience on this visit was a top 10 thank you.

I am dealing with mental health right now, I'm just so tired of feeling sick and misunderstood, Dr Martinez did her best, and I appreciate the help with more test she ordered, otherwise she is a thorough Doctor and covers everything, I feel I'm having a breakdown, this issue was ignored, and my iron and vitamin D was thought to be the issue, which could be the answer, I hope so because all I do is cry I'm so depressed, I hate this feeling of doom!

First of all, my cardiologist mentioned to this primary doctor, I told him, he said, who handles your diabetic medicine? And I told him Martinez. And then he said, oh, okay, I'm going to send her a note. And then she said, Martinez said, oh my God, he doesn't think I'm doing a great job because your sugar's out of control. I don't think that was appropriate. I really don't. And going forward, I don't want her speaking to my family because she scares them. All right. Thank you.

Better now that the EMR is working correctly and my information was not lost again

From the very beginning I selected Dr Martinez because she is a doctor who is direct. And nothing has changed she and I discuss my health which his excellent for a 74-year-old. However I do have issues from prior surgeries etc and or minor medical issues I've been dealing with most of my life. She addresses him she sets up tests ahead of time she makes recommendations if I follow her orders we start fixing things that I can't seem to get fixed anywhere else. But most importantly I am very educated about my body and what's wrong but so is she as I told her many things and we have discussed it and we as a team have fixed it. One of the best choices out of PIH I have ever made. Thank you

Great visit

I absolutely love the care that I get from Dr. Martinez.

I've been coming to this office for many years. Staff and NPs/doctors are nice. As soon as I was placed in an exam room the medical assistant named (name removed) started off by telling me that I need to choose a provider as I have seen several of the providers in the past. I told her that I usually see (name removed) but since it's hard to get an appointment I usually just opt to see who I can see the soonest. Plus I mentioned that I was there only to get refills on my nifedipine. When Dr. Martinez came by she told me my refills had already been processed and the appointment was not necessary. This was a complete waste of time since whoever booked my appointment informed me I had to come in person to see the provider in order to get a med refill. I honestly felt like I was being scolded by the MA which is completely unnecessary. Also felt very rushed by Dr. (name removed). I started mentioning that I had not had a period in 7 months and she responded by saying I should see my gyn. I work as a Clinical Director at PIH and got to experience the patient side. It was very disappointing. The visit was a complete waste of time, MA was rude and I felt extremely rushed.

I waited a long time to be seen by the doctor, more than 45 minutes. They don't want to waste your time, they pile it up and the wait is very long.
