Hello, I just wanted to say that the staff was very helpful when I came in and the person who did work at the beginning, he was very, very nice, very polite and the doctor really listened to what I had to say because I was afraid of the surgery because I didn't want to be put out and he explained to me that I didn't have to be and that really relieved me. Thank you. I had a very good experience.

Staff member at first desk was a little rude because I was not in the right check -in. She could have a little nicer and redirect. Eye doctor seemed condescending and uninterested in addressing my concerns.

I had a Question for the Dr. I'm out on disability because of my injury, The Dr wants to see me again on August 21st. My question is? Do I stay off work until I go back and see the Dr on August 21st? I have not been driving at all because of the blurred vision and light sensitivity.

I received excellent service. I'm happy and I'll be even happier next time.

Please disregard my messaging because your numbering at first sent me in the wrong direction and I said the wrong thing because it led me that way and I was impatient. Yes, it's my fault, but your numbering sent me to 1, 2 and I just started doing 1, 2 and you really needed 1 through 4 and I didn't hear that until later. Peiris is great.

Friendly office staff

I thought Dr. Peiris and his office were very professional and very competent. Unfortunately, my answer to question one was wrong because I didn't listen to the prompts. I thought one was the best and it isn't. So I meant to press for a question. All of my answers should have a response of four as highly competent and my answer to question one is incorrect and I don't know how to change it to a four. They did treat me well and get me in on a timely basis and schedule my appointments when I'm available. Thank you.

Yes, what I liked about it mostly was that it was very convenient for me. So, but yeah, I will continue to use it.

All the doctors I've seen there so far have been great. It just takes too long to be able to get an appointment.

I am grateful that I was able to see an ophthalmologist on the same day I called.

I appreciated not having to wait long-almost no waiting.

The wait time, I was even early, 20 minutes early for my appointment time and he took an hour and a half to see me and I did not appreciate that and he was just walking around talking to other patients or staff members in the hallway.

Everything was great, the care I received was excellent, and the nurse explained everything very well and slowly. If I had a question, she answered it. I was very satisfied with the answers and the doctor's care. Thank you.

The doctor was very thorough and professional. He listened to my concerns and I was comfortable when I left.

The procedures that I've had done were cataract surgeries on both eyes at different times and I was extremely nervous about it, but the doctor, the anesthesiologist and their team made it so easy, pleasurable. I loved them. It was a hard situation made great for me, the patient. I would recommend them and the doctor and the anesthesiologist and the nurses and everybody else to all my family and friends.

Seems the time frame for appointments to see your PCP, or a specialist is months out.

I had a long wait time with this appointment. I had to ask the clerk to check on my name. It seems like my name had already been been checked off the list in error.

I wanted to let you know that the staff and the doctor were all respectable, respectable and very nice to deal with and that doesn't always happen to at all the doctors' visits. So I was very, very happy with the service I got.

Would like to know in advance if I need my eyes dilated which affects me for several long hours and am extreememly sensitive to light and cannot function properly. (PHI removed).

Everything was fine except for the nurse who dilated my pupil, but when she put the IVs on, she squirted a drop in my left eye that even wet my face, causing me to recover my vision well from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. which I think irritated my eye, since I saw a very red vein.

Initially, there were not any appointments until the following Monday, which I thought was absurd considering my need was great and urgent care would not have been able to help me since the last time they referred me directly back to the eye care center. So I was very appreciative that someone was able to squeeze me in the same day, even though I had to wait almost two hours to be seen. But I was glad that I was able to get in.

Very courteous and respectful and listen patiently

When procedure is delayed, the Patient should be kept informed. I was prepped for my procedure timely but when my procedure time past, no one informed me. It was delayed by 1 hour and 15 minutes. At the 1/2 hour point I had to asked Nurse to inform my Husband waiting in Lobby and then at the hour point, I had to ask Nurse again to let my Husband know.

His nurse (name removed) was very nice, kind, courteous and explained things to me thoroughly. Doctor also explained things and answered questions I had.

All of the staff there were very professional, very friendly & very thorough,very proficient,I was actually pretty amazed , I waited only a few minutes in the waiting room the rest of the examination went very smoothly & quick , & the staff & doctor answered all of my questions, I thought I would be there for hours & hours, but the whole visit there was less than 1 hour & there were a lot of other patients there , so you're team there was also very efficient in the way they managed all of the patients, I was very impressed with the service I received!!

Well, my name is (PHI removed), and the reason I'm not happy with yesterday's visit is because my appointment was at 10:15. I arrived early, and the young secretary in the office told me no, my appointment was at 9:15, even though it was written on the paper as 10:15. And there I was, waiting for over an hour. When they finally took me to the second floor where the doctor is, I sat there waiting until I got up, forced my way into the office, and explained why I was outside. The young woman who finally saw me inside said, "They just told us downstairs that you were late and to see you whenever we could." I said, "But that wasn't the reason. I arrived early for my appointment at the correct time; it was just the young woman downstairs who made a mistake writing down the time." That's why I'm not happy.

Extremely knowledgeable

I'm very satisfied with this for my husband. He will speak English, but I can hear a little bit. Thank you for everything.

Dr Peiris took the time to explain answers to my questions in language that was understandable to a non medical person. He provided status of eyes and percentages of possibilities that can occur. Staff at the eyeglass counter were extremely helpful in fixing my bent eyeglass frames.

It's taking longer to see a specialist once the referral is approved. Took over 3 to 4 months to see the specialist.

I believe that the assistant that is helping in the office with the patients themselves is rather rude and did not have any patience when asking me to get closer or open my eyes. I think it was extremely rude on her behalf. And I believe that there is improvement to be made there.

The office staff seemed overtimed and rushed. My doctor was fine. There was a lot of waiting.

Long time between drops in eyes before I saw to the Dr.

Its always good at PIH.

The only real issue is that my chart wasn't put where it needed to be when I checked in, so I sat for over an hour waiting. When I finally asked about the amount of time, they took me back quickly and made sure to prioritize me so I wasn't late picking up my child from school. But no one planned to tell me they forgot about me; no one was planning on being honest about why I sat there for an extra hour. I find that the most distressing. The actual doctor is great, and I do recommend him.

I need an explanation of exactly what's wrong with both my eyes.

Only thing was on check out the girl had a mouth full of stuff she was enjoying a bit too much , kinda unprofessional.

For me, he was an excellent doctor. He explained enough for me to understand. He is an excellent surgeon. I came out very well from my surgery and I would highly recommend him. I would recommend him 10 times over. He is the best. Thank you.

PIH has always been good to me. Only issue ever had was appointments seldom scheduled in a timely manner. My dermatologist was the worst I've ever seen, it was scheduled nine months out to look at suspicious moles on back. Really disappointed in that.

I was seen immediately, from the receptionist (very friendly), (name removed) the nurse was very attentive and showed interest in my symptoms and history, the Dr. was very attentive and concerned about my symptoms and situation.

My appt was at 245, I was asked to be 15mins early with a driver and I did. At 240pm, I was called back, started eye exam and was told the doctor is running behind. He was on his 115pm appt and has an appt EVERY 15mins. 7ppl behind? No courtesy call from the office. Me and my driver were on PTO from work. The lack of common courtesy was astonishing and if I wanted to reschedule b/c of the DOC fault, no appt was available til late Nov. I can't believe PIH would treat their patients like this. And then when I finally saw the doc around 410pm he rushed me and was done with me in 5mins. BIGGEST WASTE OF TIME!
