Great experience, amazing doctor!

My experience with Dr. Mitry and entire staff was wonderful. They've always been very professional. However, PIH does need to fix the scheduling problem as patients are unable to see their providers in a timely manner.

Staff members were very helpful and courteous.

I think that Dr. mitry's nurses are excellent nurses. They have the best customer service. And Dr. Mitry himself is the best doctor PIH has. I would never see another doctor again.

Staff and Doctor Mitry were outstanding!

Dr. Mitry requested an MRI Stat... which was what I was hoping for. I'd had an excruciating headache for 3 days and the best the radiology department could do was Wednesday, the 3rd. I'm disappointed. Perhaps they do not understand STAT.

First off, the front office staff (two names removed) are the most professional in their appearance, communication skills and just their genuine interest in me as a patient. They always and I mean always have a warm smile and give me and each patient I've seen that approaches them their time. As for my PCP, Dr. Usama Mitry my family and I have a special bond with him. We have have been his patient for 29 years, and he was there after each one of my adult children were born at PIH Hospital in Whittier over the years always checking them. When I have been at my lowest in my mental health and physical health, he has always made time to listen and encourage me through the difficult times. I had been recently diagnosed with breast cancer and he helped myself and my husband to understand what was happening and how the different meds would affect me. He's truly been a dear friend and like family to us. I always tease him and say he can't ever retire. Please let these special people whom I've mentioned how much they are appreciated by myself and family. This is the best medical facility in the world to us.

This was a follow up appointment for blood work and medication. Dr. Mitry was very helpful explaining my blood work results. The medication that was prescribe is working great.

We love Dr Mitry. He is the best dr I've ever had in 45 years of life. He should be training other drs as I have 6 other drs from PIH and maybe only 1 other is as good as him. He listens, is caring, cares about our health yet at the same time advocates for us if we don't want to do invasive treatments. He is thorough and makes us feel happy to go to the drs.

But I would definitely recommend him, and I enjoyed the experience of being treated by him. He listens, which is very important. Provider was running an hour late & no one said anything until I asked & after Provider was done & waited for a flu shot & think the nurses forgot about me waited about 20 mins in room

I have been with Family Doctors/PIH for 55 years. I have had only two PCP's - Dr. (name removed) and Dr. Mitry. I would not be here today, without Dr. Mitry's care and attention to my body's screaming out for guidance and corrections over the last 25+ years.

Waited one hour in the room for the doctor

I'm thinking that the system that PIH or most providers work under is stressful for them and that affects the patients. They don't have the time to listen or to spend with their clients and they don't have the time to give them timely appointments. They have to be time so far in between and then when you get there, it's very short. So it's hard to get good medical care or attention with PIH.

My appointment was at 9.20 and I was seen at 10.20 and wait of one hour. Previous appointment with the PIH, pain medicine doctor, two weeks before, I was late by 15 minutes due to traffic and I was denied to be seen and also I had to reschedule with the possibility of a wait of almost one month plus. So please be consistent. with the timeline of the appointment check-in and check-out. Thank you.
