AFIB & Arrhythmia Treatment
Turn to the heart rhythm experts at PIH Health for a diagnosis and high-quality treatment of arrhythmia, including atrial fibrillation (AFIB).
What's Arrhythmia?
Arrhythmia is an abnormal heartbeat. Irregular heartbeats don’t always cause symptoms.
When to See a Specialist
Talk to your doctor if you notice symptoms such as:
- Chest pain
- Confusion
- Fainting or dizziness
- Fatigue
- Feeling like your heart is skipping beats or is beating too hard
- Shortness of breath
- Swollen feet, ankles and legs
Arrhythmia Diagnosis
Access a wide range of advanced screening and diagnostic tests at PIH Health, including:
- Echocardiogram – Looks at the size, structure and function of your heart
- Electrocardiogram (EKG) – Records electrical signals from your heart, checking for rhythms and conduction abnormalities
- Heart monitoring – With the use of a Holter or event monitor, the rhythm of your heart can be monitored and recorded for up to 30 days
Electrophysiology Studies
Electrophysiology (EP) studies examine the electrical system of the heart. EP studies diagnose precisely where the irregular heartbeat (arrhythmia) is coming from and if found can be treated by catheter ablation, neutralizing the irregular beats
