The PIH Health Family Medicine Residency Program - Whittier offers a very generous annual salary and benefits package to residents in training.

Salary:

PGY-1 Residents              $73,000 / year plus $10000 Housing Allowance = Total $83,000

PGY-2 Residents              $75,555 / year plus $10000 Housing Allowance = Total $85,155

PGY-3 Residents              $78,199 / year plus $10000 Housing Allowance = Total $88,199

Chief Stipend                   $2,500 / year

Benefits include:

  • Paid Time Off: 25 days annually
  • Health, Dental, and Life Insurance: Provided to residents; dependent coverage available with contribution (effective first of the month after 30 days of employment)
  • Retirement: 403(b) savings program
  • Licensing & Exam Support: Reimbursement for Postgraduate Training, Physician & Surgeon, DEA licenses, plus ABFM/AOBFP board exam fees
  • Annual Housing Allowance: $10,000
