General Schedule & PTO:
- Rotations are 4 weeks each, 13 rotations per year
- First rotation of the year starts in June/July
- 20 Paid Time Off days per year (sick, CME, personal)
- 7 Hospital Holidays are “Off” if your rotation sites are closed
- Day Off for Boards
Intern Year:
- Internal Medicine: 4 months
- Night Block: 1 month
- Surgery: 2 months
- Labor & Delivery
- ER: 1 month
- Outpatient Pediatrics: 1 month
- Inpatient Pediatrics: 1 month
- Outpatient Family Practice: 1 month
R2 Year:
- Elective: 1 month
- ER: 1 month
- OB/GYN: 1 month
- Geriatrics: 1 month
- Outpatient Pediatrics: 1 month
- Inpatient Pediatrics: 1 month
- ICU: 2 months
- Dermatology: 1 month
- Surgical Selective: 1 month
- Medicine Selective: 1 month
- Night Block: 1 month
- Sports Medicine: 1 month
- Includes intermittent calls
R3 Year:
- Internal Medicine Senior: 2 months
- Night Block: 1 month
- Family Medicine: 1 months
- Mental Health: 1 months
- Outpatient OBGYN: 1 month
- Elective : 2 month
- Outpatient Pediatrics: 1 month
- Medicine Selective: 1 month
- Orthopedics: 1 month
- ER: 1 month

Didactics
The PIH Health Family Medicine Residency has an extensive didactic lecture training series. Lectures are provided by PIH Health faculty and specialist attendings, occasionally by visiting lecturers and clinicians from around the country.
