Are you about to turn 65?

Most people qualify for full Medicare benefits when they turn 65. Exceptions include younger people with disabilities, End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD), or ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease). If your eligibility is activated due to turning 65, the Initial Enrollment Period begins three months before you turn 65, includes your birth month, and continues for three months after you turn 65. If you don't sign up during the Initial Enrollment Period or you would like to change your existing plan, you can do so during Medicare Annual Election Period (AEP), which occurs October 15 through December 7.
