Note to our Patients and Families about Temporary Visiting Hours

Temporary Hospital Visiting Hours

ALL PATIENTS AND VISITORS WILL BE SCREENED (NOT TESTED) FOR COVID-19 BEFORE ALLOWED ENTRANCE INTO THE HOSPITAL.

YOUR PATIENCE IS APPRECIATED.

PIH Health Downey Hospital

General Visiting Hours

8 am to 12 Noon, and 4 pm to 8 pm
1 visitor per day per patient
No visitors under 16 allowed in any areas of the hospital
No visitors allowed for COVID-19 isolation patients (those pending test results and those testing positive) in any areas of the hospital

Critical Care Center

8 am to 10 am, and 6 pm to 8 pm
1 visitor per day per patient

Labor and Delivery and Maternal Newborn departments

No limitations on time of day
One coach/visitor may remain overnight, and is limited from coming and going from the department

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

No limitations on time of day
Only 2 people with the same ID band as the baby will be allowed

Transitional Care Unit (TCU) and Acute Rehabilitation Center (ARC)

No visitors are allowed

Emergency Department (ED)

1 visitor per patient for entire stay in the ED

Visitors who do not have patient related business to conduct within the facility will not be granted access. Certain exceptions will be granted with appropriate protections, such as for loved ones who have requested to visit patients who are approaching end of life.

General Hospital Visiting

General visiting hours are currently restricted due to the need for social distancing to prevent the spread of COVID-19 unless patient has special circumstances such as end of life

Critical Care Center

8 am to 10 am
1 visitor per day unless special circumstances such as end of life

Labor and Delivery and Maternal Newborn departments

One coach/visitor may remain overnight, and is limited from coming and going from the department

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

Only 1 person with the same ID band as thebaby will be allowed

Transitional Care Unit (TCU) and Acute Rehabilitation Center (ARC)

No visitors are allowed

Emergency Department (ED)

No visitors are allowed unless special circumstances such as end of life

Procedure and Surgical Visitors

Visitors will be instructed to wait at home. The physician and/or staff will contact the designated visitor following completion of the procedure.
