Benefits of Volunteering

What are some of the benefits of being a volunteer at PIH Health?

Research has shown that volunteering your time and talents can increase self-satisfaction, improve your physical condition and help avoid illness. Volunteering keeps the mind, body, and spirit stimulated and challenged. Some benefits of volunteering include:

  • Personal growth
  • Making new friends
  • Making a difference in the lives of others
  • Gaining exposure to a future career
  • Helping a cause you believe in

Meet some of our volunteers and see what they have to say about being a volunteer.

Volunteer College Scholarship Award

Volunteer Services acknowledges the work of student volunteers and their future potential. PIH Health student volunteers are eligible to apply for a Volunteer College Scholarship Award. This award is designed to financially help students reach their goal of obtaining a higher education. This award was created to not only offer financial assistance, but to honor student volunteers with a heart for volunteerism. Our hope is that these students continue to make a difference in the lives they touch in the future.

If you or someone you know would like to consider making a donation to the PIH Health Volunteer College Scholarship Award today, please visit PIHHealth.org/Donate and select "volunteer services" in the drop down menu. Download the flyer to share with family and friends today! Thank you for your consideration in helping the next generation of healthcare leaders.
