Photo of a puzzle piece labeled "Non Profit"Non-profit organizations have a huge impact on local communities. And as early as the 1950s, the Whittier community recognized the need for strong basic services: schools, police, fire, local government and quality healthcare for all residents. Many people stepped forward to support community health—going door-to-door with empty coffee cans ready to collect coins. Funds they raised by working together built the first hospital – PIH Health Whittier Hospital – that attracted the outstanding physicians and nurses who care for you today.

PIH Health has grown into an integrated healthcare delivery network with the addition of PIH Health Physicians (PHP) Medical Group, PIH Health Downey Hospital and PIH Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles. We now serve more than two million people in and around Los Angeles and Orange Counties and the San Gabriel Valley. All the while, residents of our communities have shown their generous spirits and ongoing support in many ways.

PIH Health Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that is led by a volunteer board of directors—members of our community who want to help ensure quality healthcare for all. PIH Health Foundation raises funds to help purchase the tools and resources our doctors and nurses need to care for you and your family.

If you would like to help PIH Health continue to provide high quality healthcare, considering making a donation today: SupportPIHHealth.funraise.org. Funds raised are reinvested into the communities we serve through quality based healthcare and health-based programs and services offered through PIH Health.
